Knowing Your KUA Number

Knowing the KUA formula of 8 Mansions feng shui is almost mandatory to practicing personalized feng shui that brings the fullest benefit to every resident in the home. This is because the KUA formula is probably the fastest working and most user-friendly of all the formulas of feng shui. To use it, all you need to do is to work out your personal KUA number and from there determine your lucky and unlucky directions, as well as your lucky trigram, lucky number and lucky element.

Method of Calculation Your KUA Number

Use your Year of Birth

For example: For a person born in 1966 (after 4th February), the KUA number is calculated as follows:

• 1 + 9 + 6 + 6 = 22

• 2 + 2 = 4

For Males, subtract resultant from 11 or (11-N): KUA number is (11-4) or 7

For Females, add 4 to the resultant or (4+N): KUA number is (4+4) or 8

• If the result yield a 5 KUA number, then the KUA number must be taken as 2 for Males and KUA number 8 for Females.

• If the resultant is greater than 9 (10 or greater) then continue to add the digits together to arrive at the final KUA number.
